How am I going to get paid for my Shift?

Learn how and when to expect payment from shifts worked through Poached Shifts

To begin, you will need to set up a direct deposit to your personal bank account by creating a Stripe Connect account. If you haven't done so already, please refer to the instructions in the linked article.

Afterwards, you can easily track your hours using the Time Clock feature in the app. The Time Clock for your shift will be accessible 10 minutes before the shift is scheduled to start.

Once your shift is completed, simply clock out to review your hours. You can then submit the invoice to your employer for payment.

  • If your direct deposit is set up with a bank account, it can take up to 2-3 business days for payments to process and appear in the bank account. If payments were initiated on a weekend or holiday, the 2-3 processing time would not begin until the following business day.
  • If your direct deposit is set up with a debit card, you will receive a payment upon the invoice approval by our system, or employer. To learn more about this, please click here.

If your invoice is not approved by your employer within 24 hours, our system will automatically close the invoice and process your payment on the next business day.

Let's say you work on Monday and submit your invoice on Monday night at 9pm. Your employer has until Tuesday 9pm to approve the invoice. If they do not, our system will automatically close the invoice and pay you on Wednesday, before the end of the business day.

Please keep in mind:

  • You need to verify that your Stripe account setup is complete and enabled to ensure no delays with receiving payment - Poached does not have access to your banking information and cannot help you setup your account.
  • In order to track your hours and work as a Poached Shift worker, it is important that you have been scheduled for a shift.
  • Using the time clock feature on the Poached App correctly is crucial for accurately recording your worked hours and ensuring that you are paid accordingly.
