How do I block someone from my Shifts?

Learn how to block your shifts from the view of specific workers

There might be a time when you want to block a specific person from viewing or booking your Shifts. In this instance, you can add the worker to your Block List. There are a few ways you can do this:

1. Add a worker to your block list during invoice payment and rating.

After processing the payment for a worker's invoice, you will be asked to rate the worker on a 1-5 stars scale. If the worker was unsatisfactory and you rated them three stars or lower, you will be asked if you would like to Block them from viewing and booking your future Shifts.

Please note: this step only works if the worker has a global rating average of 3 or less stars

2. Add a worker to your Block list through your Settings panel

This step is for workers who are not on your roster, but have worked a shift for you. Navigate to your settings panel through the three lines in the top left-hand corner. From there, scroll down to Blocked Applicants and select “manage”.

By clicking “+Add to Block List” in the top right-hand corner of the page, you can sort through your past Shift workers and select who you would like to block from there.

3. Add a rostered worker to your Block list through your Shifts Roster.

Open your Shifts Roster panel through your navigation menu. From here, you can find the worker you wish to block and click on the three dots to the right of their name. From here, you will select Remove Worker.

When removing the worker from your roster, a prompt will appear asking if you want to add the worker to your Block List.

Block someone by mistake? You can unblock the worker from your settings panel at any time. When you unblock someone, they will not be automatically reinstated to your roster. You will have to invite them back, and they will need to accept that invite, to be added back to your roster.

Please note that if you are using our Locations feature, you will need to block the worker through the Parent account to have that block apply to each location/child account.
